Little Haven volunteers claim special awards

Four volunteers at the Little Haven in Forth received special certificates acknowledging their hard work at a three-hour garden party earlier this month celebrating the group’s sixth anniversary.

Blair Griffin, James Wilson, Reeta Sommerville and Liz Thomson received the richly deserved accolades in recognition of their efforts supporting Clydesdale people with cancer and other life-limiting illnesses such as MS and heart and lung problems.

Little Haven development officer Kate Williamson said: “Liz and Reeta have been with us since day one in August 2005.

“They come here to help every single Tuesday, so we call them Team Tuesday. Blair and James are only 16 and 18-years-old respectively yet still give up their time to help.

“The garden party was a lovely day attended by over 60 people.

“It started to rain at 1.15pm so we’re very grateful to our neighbours Vint and Linda Russell for providing us with a marquee in which to hold the party.”
