Local post offices in line for major upgrades
TWO local post offices are set to benefit from an injection of cash from the Scottish Government.
The popular Post Offices in Cumbernauld Village and Twechar have been successful in their application for funding from the government’s Post Office Diversification Fund, an initiative which aims to improve post services and create and support business activities around local branches.
A total of £1m has been set aside by MSPs for investment in the scheme. The Village post office and Twechar are set to receive £25,000 and £15,000 respectively.
