Lord Lieutenant’s new deputy
Louis Munn took up his role on July 7, replacing previous Vice Lord-Lieutenant David Reeks who retired in April.
Louis has been a resident of Lanarkshire all of his life and was educated at Garrowhill Primary and Uddingston Grammar School.

Hide AdAfter six years in industry he joined the then Lanarkshire Constabulary in 1974 and started his police career in Hamilton.
Following local government reorgan-isation, Louis served with Strathclyde Police on uniform and CID duties.
A promotion to Superintendent saw him move to deputy head of personnel, followed by spells as Deputy Divisional Commander at Maryhill and force press officer.
He was promoted to Chief Superintendent in 1996 and retired in 2004.

Hide AdHe is married to Alison, a retired primary school assistant head teacher, is a Justice of the Peace, an elder of the Church of Scotland and Session Clerk of Hamilton Old Parish Church.
In addition Louis is a volunteer driver for Lanarkshire Cancer Care Trust.
Lord Lieutenant Mushtaq Ahmad said: “I have known Louis for a number of years and I am delighted with his appointment.
“I look forward to him assisting me with my duties in serving the people of Lanarkshire.”
