Lorry overturns on Eaglesham roundabout
Traffic came to a halt on the southern orbital road at Eaglesham yesterday (Tuesday) when a lorry overturned.
Police were called to the scene around 1.20pm as the large truck tipped rubbish onto the embankment surrounding the Belle Craig roundabout.
A Police Scotland spokesman told The Extra that the driver suffered minor injuries and was taken to Hairmyres Hospital and released after treatment.
The road remained closed until around 4.30pm as a crane was used to clear the scene.
