Louise is ready for the high jump

An occupational therapist from Kirkintilloch is set to abseil 100ft down the iconic Falkirk Wheel at Tamfourhill this Saturday, June 6, to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.

Louise Wilson (41), has been inspired to raise funds for the charity as she has first-hand experience of the condition, both personally and professionally.

She said: “I am looking forward to the challenge as I have never experienced anything like this before.”

She added: “My dad, Neil Russell, has Parkinson’s and I want to support Parkinson’s UK in finding a cure.

“I am also an occupational therapist and I frequently meet people with Parkinson’s and their carers.”

Louise is hoping she will inspire others to take part or to sponsor her.
