Emma (26) said: “I never expected that when I entered Lucy May that she would win.

“We can’t believe it, but we are really chuffed. Lucy May’s cousin Logan was in the top 10 as well and we thought he was going to win, and my friend’s baby was in the top 20.

“I was pleased with the photo entered as Lucy May is looking at the camera and smiling.

All the family and friends were texting to vote as well as colleagues at my work at Aviva, in Bishopbriggs.”

The Herald would like to thank all the proud parents who entered their youngsters in the contest. In an ideal world all the youngsters would be winners, but only one can be crowned Herald Cute Kid 2013.

The prize in this year’s competition is a presentation lunch for four at the stunning Oregano restaurant in Bishopbriggs, and vouchers courtesy of Asda in Bishopbriggs.
