Tenor Jamie MacDougall will join the orchestra along with French Horn star Chris Gough in a performance of Benjamin Britten’s Serenade for Tenor, Horn and Strings.

St Margaret’s music director Michael Bawtree will conduct and in the first half of the concert the group will perform Holst’s Brook Green Suite, Ravel’s Pavane and Respighi’s Ancient Airs and Dances.

Jamie said: “I met a remarkable young lady, Sophie a few Christmases ago. Due to a childhood illness  at the age of 10 months, she developed a very difficult to manage epilepsy and significant learning disabilities. She’s been seizure free for almost a decade and with the support of Epilepsy Scotland she is making great progress.  It was her joyous rendition of O Come all ye Faithful that led me to support this amazing charity. Every note, sung from the heart, is full of the true meaning of Christmas.

The concert is free but audience members will be invited to show how much they enjoyed the concert by contributing to a bucket donation after the show.

Sunday, September 27. 7pm.
