Man seen with missing student is now helping with police inquiries
Karen (24) from Cork in Ireland, was last seen walking away from a nightclub in Glasgow’s west end after talking to a man outside.
The Glasgow Caledonian University student had been at Sanctuary nightclub on Dumbarton Road from about 11.45pm on Saturday night.

Hide AdAt about 1am she told friends she was going to the toilet but she didn’t come back and didn’t pick up her jacket.
CCTV cameras captured images of her talking to a man outside the club, then she left and walked towards Church Street.
Police Scotland are holding a news conference in Glasgow at 2pm today, when a member of Miss Buckley’s family is expected to be present.
Karen’s friends reported her as missing on Sunday as they said it was very “out of character” for her not to return home or contact them to let them know where she is.

Hide AdPolice are now carrying out a major search in the west end of Glasgow, where officers are carrying out door-to-door inquiries. CCTV footage is also being scanned.
Miss Buckley’s family have also flown to Scotland to help with the search.
A Facebook page titled “Please help find Karen missing in Glasgow” has been set up urging people to help with the search for the missing student, and it has already got more than 21,500 likes.
Inspector Gavin Smith, of Police Scotland, said: “Friends reported Karen missing on Sunday, April 12 after feeling her behaviour to not return home was very out of character.

Hide Ad“Her friends say she would always contact them by text or phone to let them know where she was and she doesn’t appear to have contacted anyone.
“Karen had been drinking alcohol with her friends but they say she was not drunk and are very worried about her.
“Her parents have also flown over from Ireland as they believe this behaviour is very unusual and not like Karen at all.”
Miss Buckley is described as white, about 5ft to 5ft 2in (155-160cm) tall, with brown eyes and dark hair with long black curly hair extensions in.

Hide AdShe was said to be wearing an all-in-one black jump suit with red high heels and a black handbag when she disappeared. She speaks in an Irish accent.
