Man sent ex and her sister indecent pics
Craig Brown (33) hounded one of the two women, whom he used to date, for three and a half years, sending her unsolicited messages and pictures of his own manhood.
Then he turned his attention to her sister, making a series of sexual suggestions so crude that a sheriff ordered members of the public to be cleared from a courtroom while the details were read out.
Brown, of Motherwell, pleaded guilty at Stirling Sheriff Court today (Tuesday) to a charge of stalking his former girlfriend by sending her messages and photographs between September 2012 and January 2016. He also admitted sending the woman’s sister sexually explicit messages and photographs between March 2015 and March this year.
Prosecutor Lindsey Brooks said Brown used an Instagram account called FerndoVanPerse and Facebook accounts named Copperfield Isaac, Craig Richardson and Michael Morrisey to message the sisters.
She said one of the messages, which read “Happy Christmas! X”, was sent in December 2014 and was accompanied by a picture of Brown sitting completely naked on a sofa.
It was followed by a much longer message which Ms Brooks described as “extremely explicit and obscene” and which the recipient found alarming, “particularly due to its unsolicited nature”.
Ms Brooks said: “She further indicated that, along with being able to identify the accused from the image sent, she was aware that the username Michael Morrisey appeared to be an amalgamation of two names with relevance to the accused, who is a fan of both Michael Jackson and Morrissey.”
The sisters, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, both live in the Stirling area.
Brown, who is now on the sex offenders’ register, will be sentenced on June 29 when defence agent Kevin McCarron will speak in mitigation.
