Marie Curie nurses say thanks for Daffodil Appeal help

Marie Curie nurses have offered their thanks to everyone in East Dunbartonshire for helping to make the charity’s Daffodil Appeal a great success.

Since the month-long launched on March 1, volunteer collectors have been out in force to encourage people to make a donation and wear the charity’s daffodil pin.

All the funds raised from the Great Daffodil Appeal help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes.

Marie Curie’s Paul Thompson said: “We would like to thank everyone in East Dunbartonshire who has supported Marie Curie and helped to make this year’s appeal such a big success.

“Funds raised will make a significant difference, helping Marie Curie nurses provide more care to people with terminal illness and their families at the time when they most need support.”
