M&D's reopens indoor attractions

Police Scotland insist the outdoor attractions at M&D's will remain closed as theme park bosses opening some of the indoor facilities.

A joint investigation between Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive is still ongoing to find out what caused the derailment of the Tsunami rollercoaster on Sunday which injured 10 people.

The likes of the Krazy Congo soft play area, Cosmic Bowl and Amazonia have now reopened for business as two children remain in a serious condition in hospital.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “The joint investigation into the circumstances of the incident at M&D’s on Sunday is continuing, between Police Scotland and the Health and Safety Executive.

“We have been made aware that the owners/operators have taken the decision to open the indoor complex of the park, which includes the kids soft play area, bowling and Amazonia this morning.

“The rides and theme park area remain closed as investigations continue.”
