

The children learned Burns songs and about his life with each class reciting a Burns poem.
The pupils then served their families haggis, neeps and tatties with a piper welcoming guests and leading the haggis.

They provided tablet and Tunnock’s teacakes and caramel wafers, which were donated after the children wrote the company letters.


After the food was served, the youngsters moved to the gym hall where a live ceilidh band played Scottish dance music.

The event was finished with the singing of Auld Lang Syne.
