Mearns primary teachers on their bikes

MEARNS primary teachers used pedal power to rake in charity cash at the freshnlo Pedal for Scotland event — all in memory of a dearly missed pupil.

Depute head teacher Karen Cumming and colleague Sharon Boisson have raised £2,315 so far after tackling the 50 mile cycle from Glasgow Green to Murrayfield.

Their fundraising efforts will be donated to the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland (CHAS) in memory of Mearns pupil Andrew Ferrier, who sadly passed away in May as a result of a tumour.

The duo are still accepting donations at www.justgiving.com/sharon-boisson.
