Senior officers from the ERC leisure team will be on hand at the meeting to talk through the options on the future of the centre that will be detailed in the report.

The centre was closed in August amid worries concerning its air conditioning and the pool’s circuklation system.

Councillor Ken McKinlay, head of service at East Renfrewshire council, said: “The council’s decision to close the centre was precautionary and taken purely to remove risk to the public.

“The air-handling system in the centre needs to be replaced and there was a possibility of other maintenance issues due to the age of the building.
