Gillespies LLP Landscape Design consultancy has been commissioned by East Dunbartonshire Council (EDC) to prepare proposals for a project entitled ‘Burnbrae Roundabout and Connections’.
The council has reached the final stage of a design competition, organised by Sustrans Scotland as part of the Community Links Plus Programme supported by the Scottish Government, to design and deliver an inspirational active travel project which favours pedestrians and cyclists.

A spokesperson said: “These proposals are at a very early stage and it is important that we discuss the ideas and to get feedback from community representatives, cycling groups, pedestrian groups, local business representatives and other interested parties.”
The workshop is being held in the community meeting room at the new Waitrose supermarket next to the
Burnbrae roundabout today (Friday, June 10) at 2pm until 5pm.
