Men urged to take up careers at nursery level

Scott Nisbet and Stuart Brash have now qualified as child development officers, gaining their qualifications by training in East Ren nurseries.

Scott (20) said: “It’s fantastic to see how the childre interact with me — I think having a male in the nursery really does have a positive effect, and there’s a need for more men in the profession.”

Stuart (21) added: “The MA has been a really good way to get into it as opposed to university — you are there all week, you learn on the job, and you get to know everyone.”
