As well as her work with the music project, she has also helped break down the stigma of mental health through her involvement in the Scottish Mental Health and Arts Festival.

Central Scotland list MSP Clare Adamson, who nominated Michelle for an award, said: “Michelle is without doubt one of the hardest working, persistent youth workers that Reeltime has had and she has achieved so much since her time there, not only personally but she has inspired so many young people through her dedication and love of music.”

The awards dinner will take place on Thursday, March 10, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.
