Milngavie house blaze: Investigations continue after man dies

Emergency crews raced to the blaze which had taken hold in a property in Park Avenue on Friday night around 9.30pm.

Police and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have launched a joint investigation into the fire.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “A 61-year-old man has died following a fire at a house in Park Avenue, Milngavie, on Friday, 26 June, 2020.

“Emergency Services were called to the address around 9.30pm. A joint investigation with the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service is ongoing.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
