Milngavie Music Club concert

Two outstanding young Scottish musicians, Laura Sergeant on cello, and Ian Watt on guitar, visit Milngavie Music Club on Friday, April 29, in Cairns Church, Milngavie, to offer a varied programme for an unusual combination of instruments.

J S Bach’s calm and majestic Suite No 4 demonstrates the astonishing range of the solo cello. The baroque style is continued in cello and guitar pieces by Vivaldi, Gnattali and Simpson.

The cello and guitar version of Schubert’s famous Arpeggione Sonata introduces virtuosity of a more romantic kind to this delightful programme. Starts at 8pm.
