Minister to visit trail-blazing St Ninian’s
Transport Minister Derek Mackay will visit Kirkintilloch’s St Ninian’s High School on Tuesday next week to learn more about a pioneering scheme called I Bike.
St Ninian’s is said to be leading the way when it comes to building bike use into everyday school life, by incorporating cycling into the PE curriculum and other school-wide events - and is supported by East Dunbartonshire Council and Sustrans.
Teachers at the school have also been trained as Ride Leaders and a number of trips have already taken place to local places of interest.
