Month of roadworks ahead on busy Busby paths

Roadworks will start in Busby on Monday (August 10), with repairs to pavements on both sides of the A727 East Kilbride road affected for four weeks.

Work will affect footpaths from Carmunnock Road to the boundary with South Lanarkshire until Friday, September 4.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place between 9am and 4pm.

A spokeswoman for East Renfrewshire Council said: “Residents on the route are being informed that vehicle and pedestrian access will be affected. Everything possible will be done to keep disruption to a minimum.

“Signs will be in place informing drivers of the works and the possibility of delays.”
