More Central Way road closures

Central Way, the main road through the Town Centre, is to be closed each night from Tuesday, May 8 until Thursday, May 10 inclusive from 8pm until 6am each night. The road may also be closed on Friday, May 11 depending on the progress of the earlier work.

This work will allow engineers to work on deck plates, bars and painting.

The £1.2m Tummel Way bridge replacement project has been ongoing since January and the bridge is planned to open later this month. The new 22-metre high span will restore a full walking circuit around the Town Centre, something which has not existed since the previous bridge was condemned in 2004.
