MP Jo set to go on tour

East Dunbartonshire MP Jo Swinson is urging people to come along and meet her during her 2014 ‘Summer Tour’ of the constituency.

The LibDem MP will be visiting more than 40 locations from Monday, August 25 and Friday, August 29.

The tour will take in visits to schools, shops, small businesses and train stations.

Jo is encouraging local residents to take the opportunity to come along and speak with her about any issue.

She said: “Getting out and meeting local people is one of the most enjoyable parts of my job as East Dunbartonshire’s MP.

“I am looking forward to going into the heart of our communities – town centres, the school gates and businesses - to talk about the issues that matter most to my constituents.

“There’s no need to book a meeting, and I have always found this tour is a good way for people to approach me and find out more about how I can help them as their MP. So if you see me about in this week please do pop over for a chat, as I want to speak to as many local residents as possible.”
