New church group meetings in Cathcart

The Alpha Course begins on Tuesday, February 5 and will continue each Tuesday.

The evening is timed to begin at 7.30pm — for 8pm — and is set to finish by 9.15.

The first Alpha @ The White Cart evening be where many aspects of Christianity are considered.

Aimed at both Christians and the curious, organisers are hoping to appeal to those who know little about Christianity but want to learn.

The evenings are planned to run until March 26 with the beginning and end times the same.

The topics are, initially: Who is Jesus? (Feb 5), Why did Jesus die? (Feb 12), How can I have faith? (Feb 19) and Why and how should I pray? (Feb 26).

Further topics are expected to be decided at a later date.
