New Clyde Windfarm hands over £½ million windfall

WITH Clydesdale now considered to be the windfarm capital of Europe, the biggest of all its windfarms has handed over a bumper cheque to South Lanarkshire Council.

David Gardner, SSE’s director of Onshore Renewables, said: “SSE Renewables is keen to ensure that local communities, who experienced the construction of the windfarm with us, have the opportunity to benefit from both the short and long term economic benefits the windfarm can provide.
