New home for New Beginnings in Carluke

A DISUSED cemetery keeper’s lodge in Kilmory Road, Carluke, is the first permanent base for South Lanarkshire homeless charity New Beginnings.

It’s all thanks to funding of £3566 from UK Steel Enterprise and the South Lanarkshire LEADER Programme, which will also see toiletries, cutlery, linen, crockery, children’s toys and nappies distributed to those living in emergency accommodation or who have recently been re-housed by the council.
