New Lanark stargazing event

STARGAZERS from across Clydesdale are being invited to New Lanark World Heritage Site, which is set to host a spectacular BBC event.

The New Lanark Visitor Centre, in association with BBC Learning, will host a Stargazing Live event in New Lanark's Roof Garden on Saturday, January 8, from 5pm to 7.30pm.

Beginners, amateur astronomers and professional stargazers will get a chance to explore the night sky.

New Lanark development officer Graeme Mciver said: "The sky-high Roof Garden will provide the perfect opportunity to view and discover the sky at night."

Pre-booking is essential so contact the booking team on 661345.

Entry fee is 2 for adults and 1 for children. Access to the Roof Garden is by lift. Please take your own telescope!
