New Lanark Victorian Fair 2010

GIANT inflatable human size balls, otherwise known as aqua spheres, literally proved to be a big splash at Sunday's New Lanark Victorian Fair!

Children and adults alike had a go at crawling across a 10m by 9m paddling pool for five minute sessions, while inside spheres — the world's fastest growing fun and activity craze.

"Kids loved the aqua spheres and the adults also relished crawling across the water," said New Lanark Trust development officer Graeme Maciver.

"I don't think the adults realised at first that they could have a go but as soon as a couple of them were brave enough to try, we saw more and more getting involved."

Graeme said he believed that around 3000 people attended this year's Victorian Fair, which has been running annually on the first Sunday in September for over 25 years.
