New market sets up stall southside

There’s a new market in town, with bargains to be had come rain or shine.

The Hub Markets takes up residency at The Shed in Shawlands on the first and third Saturdays of the month, coinciding with the farmers’ market outside.

The first will be held on June 6, 10am-3pm, offering everything from homemade fudge and cheese to furniture, jewellery, crafts, vintage and collectables.

Hub Markets currently operates in Paisley, Helensburgh, Loch Lomond Shores and Edinburgh, but the Shawlands location is its first Glasgow base.

Michele Pagliocca, owner of The Shed, said: “We’re delighted to welcome The Hub Markets and thrilled Tracy has chosen our southside venue for its first ever Glasgow location.”
