Hide AdShe married David McClements, a son of the manse, and his father Rev Duncan McClements was a great influence on Louise and her decision to become a minister.
She explained: “My father-in-law was inspirational and he influenced my decision. I was very sad that I did not get the chance to tell him of my calling as he died unexpectedly just a few days before I had planned to share my news with him.”
The support continued in the person of her husband David who is a solicitor and her two daughters Sophie and Victoria.
They were a little unsure when their mother began studying for the ministry, possibly apprehensive about the reaction of school friends, but when they got used to the idea and the change in their lives, they were very supportive and proud.
