New pharmacy granted in Carstairs

Their last-ditch appeal to the NHS National Appeal Panel against the plan by chemist chain PNC Pharma Ltd to open a branch in a former cafe on the village’s Lanark Road has been rejected.

Now worried locals will be waiting to hear the fate of their long-established and popular local GP dispensary, said to be under threat if the commercial operator was allowed to go ahead with its plans.
