New school and nursery will be top of the class

Ambitious plans for a new state-of-the-art primary school will be unveiled at a public information event.

The outline design for the school in Bishopbriggs will be revealed at a drop-in session next week.

Draft proposals for the school, to be built on the site of Woodhill Primary, will be available for pupils, parents and staff to comment on.

The development is part of a programme to merge Woodhill Primary, Auchinairn Primary and Cleddens Learning and Childcare Centre in a new facility.

The architects, Archial Norr, will be at the event and East Dunbartonshire Council leader Rhonda Geekie is encouraging people to go along.
