New site offers a one-stop-shop for all planning queries

All planning applications in Scotland can now be submitted using a new web site.

Launched on January 13, the ePlanning.scot site – www.eplanning.scot - is free to use and managed by the Scottish Government, in partnership with local authorities.

The web service allows individuals and businesses to complete and send planning applications, notices of review, appeals and other permissions to any of the 32 Scottish councils.

Shirley Linton, Head of Planning and Regeneration, said: “Around 70 per cent of planning applications are now submitted on-line, and this new web site makes the process easier and more cost-effective for applicants and councils. The site is easy-to-use, with guidance available throughout the process.”
