New social homes for former infirmary site

The 9.5 acre site was put on the market in October last year following the transfer of services to the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

The site attracted considerable interest from house builders and development companies and a robust and detailed evaluation process of a shortlist of bidders.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde chose the Sanctuary Group’s submission as they were impressed by their vision on how they plan to move forward with the site.

Sanctuary will now progress with pre-planning application discussions with Glasgow City Council and the local community. They are proposing to retain a number of heritage features on the site while providing modern, stylish homes for first time buyers, families and older buyers.
