New Tesco in Carluke set to open

The new Tesco superstore in Carluke will soon open to the public and store manager Andy Walker has picked up the keys from the site’s project manager.

The key handover signified that the structural work on the Lanark Road site was complete.

Staff can now start stocking the shelves and local residents can begin the countdown to the official opening on Monday, September 19.

Andy, who is opening his first new store following 16 years in his current role, said: “My team and I have been working hard over the last few months to ensure that we will be able to deliver the best possible shopping experience. I’m confident that we will offer a great range of products, alongside brilliant value for money and fantastic customer service.

“I look forward to welcoming our new customers and local residents to the store, and hope as many people as possible will be able to join us for the launch celebrations.”
