Newsagent celebrates 40 years in the trade
Kirkintilloch newsagent Stewart Walker has seen many changes over the years as he looks forward to celebrating 40 years in the business later this month.
It was 1976 when Stewart set up shop at 99 Townhead, and through the years he as seen many businesses come and go. He is now at 55 Townhead.
He said: “I wish to thank all my loyal customers, who come into my shop for daily papers, greetings cards and confectionery.”
The newsagents was referred to by locals at the time as the ‘the hole in the wall’ and now after all these years the family business is still going strong.
