There had been reports that a fire was blazing at the end of Cuilmuir View which nears the railway line at Croy Station.

The crew from Kilsyth arrived at the scene to discover that the fire in question was in fact the centrepiece of an organised bonfire party. Firefighters were satisfied that the fire posed no risk and returned to base.
