The competition is open to residents across the Herald’s circulation area and the closing date for entries is Friday, August 21, and we want our readers to nominate the residential gardens they most admire in the towns we cover .

Once again we’ve teamed up with the experts at Caulders Garden Centre in Kirkintilloch and Kirkintilloch Horticultural Society.

As in previous years, there area a host of great prizes up for grabs, with the winner scooping a £50 voucher to spend at Caulders. The second place prize is a £30 voucher and third prize is a £20 voucher.

Kirkintilloch Horticultural Society president Errol Burchell said: “I am looking forward to a keen competition from our local gardeners.

“In view of the inclement weather it maybe very difficult but it’s amazing how gardens and gardeners persevere despite the Scottish weather.’

Caulders Garden Centre owner Colin Barrie added: “We’re delighted to be sponsoring the competition once again.”
