Nurse Josephine says farewell

CUMBERNAULD’S Tryst Sports Centre marked the retirement of a woman who has cared for local children for many years.

Josephine Bogie founded the Tryst’s creche back in 1975 and after some years away returned there to work until retiring last week. Colleagues presented her with gifts and a picture cake bearing a photo of Cumbernauld News’ coverage from 1975.

“Everyone has been fabulous,” said Josephine. “They couldn’t have done more to make a fuss over me, it’s been lovely. My friend Marianne Robertson even contacted some of the people I worked with in the past who came to my leaving party. Your job is as good as the people you work with and I’ve been very fortunate.”

Josephine looks forward to tending her garden in Braeface Road and looking after grandson Connor.
