Official opening of new Law playpark
Carluke High School pupil Nicola McKay (14), cut the ribbon to open the new state-of-the-art facility, which at last gives the village's 700 children a first class play area on their doorsteps.
Nicola was chosen for the honour after winning a competition to name the new playpark two long years ago, when she was still a Law Primary pupil.

Successful completion of the project, after a hard fought three-year battle for funding by Law Community Trust, is a major boost to everyone in the local community.
Law Trust chairman Jim Wright said: "It is a fantastic relief and a thrill that this playpark is open.
"We are all really chuffed and it's excellent to see so many people in Law enjoying themselves.
"The good weather we've been getting has meant that the playpark has always been busy in the past few days.

"The advantages we get from having this great facility are terrific. It brings a real cohesion to the village.
"We are getting kids and families playing together, and mothers getting a well deserved break!
"Having this park in Law takes tremendous pressure off a family home, because the kids here literally have nothing else like it."
