Registration fee for over 16s is £15, and children £5. This includes a Santa suit and commemorative medal for finishers.

Councillor Alistair Watson, who will be starting the race, said: “This year’s Santa Dash will be the biggest yet with a record number of people taking part. Where else do you get the chance to see thousands of folk taking to the streets in a Santa outfit?

“The people of Glasgow really know how to show their support for good ‘clauses’.
