Online survey for teenage voters

Teenagers in East Dunbartonshire have been urged to take part in an online survey following on from the Scottish Independence Referendum.

The Scottish Parliament is looking for 16-17 year olds to fill in the online questionnaire asking for their opinions and experience of the historic event. Strathkelvin and Bearsden MSP Fiona McLeod wants all 16-17 year olds to respond to the survey.

She said: “I was particularly struck by the engagement of young people in the many schools, colleges, universities and youth groups that I spoke at over the course of the referendum campaign.

“I firmly believe that the Scottish Parliament made the right decision in extending the vote to 16 and 17-year-olds.”
