1.What do you like best about being in the hotel trade?

The variety of the work and the people. Most of the people that choose to work in the hotel industry are great to be around and really make the industry special.

2.If you hadn’t gone into this line of work what else would you like to have done?

Chartered accountant or history teacher.

3.Who would be your dream hotel guest at the Westerwood?

A very quiet, respectful, appreciative guest that likes to spend lots of money in all areas of the hotel and write fantastic reviews on Tripadvisor!

4.Tell us the best hotel you’ve ever stayed in and why you liked it.

The Chester Grosvenor Hotel is steeped in history and is second to none.

5. What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I enjoy spending as much time as possible with my three children – and do rugby and boxing to keep fit.

6. If money was no object what would you do with the rest of your life?

Probably do a Harley Davidson tour of the continents! After that was out of my system I would probably give as much money away as possible.

7. Describe yourself in three words.

Boring, compulsive, dedicated

8. What’s your favourite film?

Saving Private Ryan.I’m a bit of a World War Two freak and the opening scenes are pretty epic.

9.When do you feel happiest?

Spending time with the kids and celebrating success with the team at The Westerwood

10. What motto do you live your life by?

Treat people how you wish to be treated yourself.
