Double delight for firm shortlisted in awards

A CUMBERNAULD company has been shortlisted for no fewer than TWO top business awards.

CMS Enviro Systems in Blairlinn learned that it had reached the final heats of the Vision in Business for the Environment of Scotland Awards at the end of the month – after impressing judges with its eco-friendly credentials.

This is the THIRD year the firm has been shortlisted.

Elated staff then learned that they would be attending the Scottish Business Awards in February, after being shortlisted as Green Business of the Year!

The fast-growing business which recently opened an operation in Aberdeen has a multi-million pound order book, mainly from kitting out local authority housing associations with uPVC windows and doors.

The firm cuts waste by bringing the original fixtures and fittings to its specially designated centre in Fife, in a move which fits in with tough Scottish Government targets on recycling.

Andrew Kerr, managing director of CMS Enviro Systems, said: “We are delighted to be shortlisted for these prestigious cross-industry awards.

“We have been at the forefront of environmental initiatives in our industry for several years now, so to get this level of recognition is a fantastic achievement for the company.”
