Kilsyth BBs aim to raise £7k for charity

MEMBERS of the 3rd Kilsyth Boys’ Brigade are continuing their drive to raise £7000 to build a kitchen for a school in the developing world through Mary’s Meals.

Since last September, the group tallied an impressive £2500 and recently received a further generous donation of £1000 from Kilsyth Anderson Church.

Captain Christine Johnston said: “All members of the company wish to express their deep gratitude for such a marvellous addition to the project fund, which currently stands at almost £4000.”

The boys’ next fundraiser will be on Christmas Eve when they help customers pack their bags in the Co-op on Main Street.

The organisation also offers a Christmas card delivery service in Kilsyth and the local villages to buoy their company funds between December 3 and 17.

Delivery charge is just 10 pence per card, a price that has not risen in more than 15 years!

A box for collection of cards will be in the G Miller and Son fruit shop on Main Street.

if you are using the delivery service and are a taxpayer, and would like to place a donation in an envelope with your details on it, the company can reclaim the tax on it and use that money for their Mary’s Meals project.

The company would like to extend a big thank you to everyone who has supported them throughout the years with various initiatives.
