Out to beat cold callers

Representatives will attend the Highland Games event at Rouken Glen Park on Saturday to promote their work against doorstop selling, rogue businesses and nuisance calling.

Senior trading standards officer Paul Holland invites all to come along and find out more about the issue, which continues to be a key concern in the East Ren area.

He told The Extra: “We’ll be available 12-5pm, handing out no cold calling door stickers and providing information on dealing with rogue companies and nuisance calls.

“We’ll also be demonstrating call blocking devices, which can be attached to your phone to avoid nuisance calls.”
