For the 11-year-old is the girl who will be crowned Lanimer Queen.

“She is excited now,” said her mum, Marie Dunn.

“On Thursday and Friday she was very quiet – I think she was just in shock , like everyone else!”

Paige is usually a big Lanimer fan. She has been in the Lanimer Procession every year since she was at Robert Owen School Nursery.

Paige is one of three children of Marie, who is in finance, and Thomas McCulloch, a joiner, of Smyllum Road. She has a family history of being in the Lanimer limelight, so she won’t be short of help and advice.

Her older sister Callie was a lady in waiting in 2005 and her mum was a lady in waiting in 1987.

Her uncle David Reid was a herald in 1976 and her great-aunt Anne Colligan was Lanimer Queen in 1976!
