Parking chaos at John Cumming stadium, Carluke
An SNP councillor has blasted the local authority for having no official parking area at the new John Cumming Stadium in Carnwath Road, Carluke.
Clydesdale West’s David Shearer feels it is ludicrous that users of the state-of-the-art arena – tipped to host major events including Scottish Athletics meetings – have to battle for parking spaces allocated to the nearby High School and Leisure Centre.
“Having patrons using the same car park for three different places is a stupid concept,” Councillor Shearer said.
