Passengers can expect busier Carluke Train Station this summer
TRAIN passengers who use Carluke Station should expect busier services this summer as a result of engineering improvements on the main rail line between Edinburgh and Glasgow via Falkirk High.

The rail line through Winchburgh Tunnel, near Linlithgow, will be closed from Saturday, June 13, until Monday, July 27, while Network Rail prepares for electrification of the route.
Customers who normally travel on that route - via Falkirk High – may switch to the line via Carluke and Motherwell instead.

A ScotRail spokeswoman said: “We are making passengers aware that trains may be busier than normal, particularly at peak times.
“Some people may be able to amend their travel times so that they can use trains that are less busy.”
