Biggest stories in Glasgow in 2021 - in pictures

2021 has been a big year for Glasgow – we’ve had leaders discussing the future of the world, mass protests for the planet and refugees, Obama, Indiana Jones and Batman, elections, lockdown and ‘55’.

Looking back at what has been a wild year, it’s difficult to imagine that 2022 will be able to match 2021 for big events.

Take a look back at just some of the highlights from this year.

Glasgow was transformed into late '60s America in the summer for the filming of the next Indiana Jones movie. The city has also hosted filming for upcoming Batman and, more recently, Batgirl films.
